A Study of Q Gospel and Abraham Covenant

최근의 신약 연구는 언약적 차원에 많은 관심을 가지게 되었다. 이는 아마도 바울에 관한 새 관점 학파의 영향 때문인 것 같다. 그렇다면 Q 복음서는 언약과 어떠한 관계를 맺고 있는가? 본 논문은 Q 복음서와 언약의 관계를 파악하기 위해 호슬리, 홀렘, 크롬하우트의 연구를 고찰하고, Q 3:8 석의를 통해 Q 복음서가 언약, 특히 아브라함 언약과 맺고 있는 관계를 연구한다. 연구의 결과 Q 복음서는 아브라함 언약의 전통과 연속성 상에 있지만 언약에 대해 전복적인 입장을 취한다. 많은 유대인들이 언약의 중요성과 우선성을 확신하는 가운데 Q 복음서의 ‘열매신학’은 열매가 아브라함 언약의 자손됨을 결정한다는 전복적인 입장을 취한다. 이러한 열매신학은 예수 이전의 세례자 요한에서 비롯되었으며 예수와 Q 사람들에게로 이어진 것으로 보인다. 언약에 대해 전복적인 Q의 열매신학은 차후에 복음서 기자들에게 영향을 미쳐 언약공동체에 이방인이 들어올 수 있는 길을 열어 놓았으며, 이는 향후 세계사에 심대한 영향을 끼친 것으로 평가된다.

Recent research on the New Testament has received much attention in a covenant dimension. This seems to be probably due to the influence of a ‘new perspectives on Paul.’ So, what is the Q Gospel related to the perspectives? This paper examines the study of Hosley, Hollem, and Chromhout to understand the relationship between the Q Gospel and the covenant dimension, and then studies the Q Gospel in relation to such a covenant, specifically to the Abraham covenant in Q 3:8. The Q Gospel is noy only in the tradition and continuity of the covenant, but also takes a subversive position on the Abraham covenant. While many Jews were convinced of the importance and priority of the Abraham covenant, the ‘fruit theology’ of the Q Gospel took a subversive position that the fruit determines who is the offspring of the covenant. This fruit theology originated in John the Baptist prior to Jesus and seems to have come to Jesus and Q people. The subversive theology of the covenant in Q influenced the Synoptic Gospel writers, opening the way for the Gentiles to enter the covenant community, which had a profound impact on coming world history.
