IoT 및 ICT 기술을 이용한 소방설비 기술의 특허 동향 분석

Analysis of Patent Trends for Fire Protection Technology based on IoT and ICT Technology

4차 산업혁명의 핵심기술인 인공지능, ICT, IoT 기술 등이 다른 기술과 융⋅복합하고 있으며, 이러한 기술을 소방설비 기술에 접목시켜 화재로 인한 인명과 재산을 보호할 수 있다고 판단하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 IoT 및 ICT 등 4차 산업혁명 기술을 이용한 소방설비 기술의 특허에 대해 1999년부터 2018년까지 출원된 한국, 미국, 일본, 유럽의 특허를 대상으로 조사를 실시하였다. 이와 관련된 기술 특허는 국제 특허현황 및 국가별 기술경쟁력 등을 분석하였다. 4IR 기반 소방설비 기술의 전체 특허출원 동향을 살펴보면, 1999년에서 2014년까지는 완만한 형태의 증가 추세를 나타냈으나 2015년부터 급격하게 증가하는 추세를 나타내고 있다. 이러한 특허 동향분석을 통해 세부 기술 분야별 특허 현황과 출원인을 살펴봄으로써 연구개발의 기초자료를 제시하고 관련 분야의 기술의 흐름을 파악하고자 하였다.

Technology for the 4th Industrial Revolution, including ICT, IoT, and big data, has been combined with various other technologies. As an example, these technologies combined with fire protection technology can help protect lives and minimize property damage due to fires. In this study, the patents for fire protection technology using IoT and ICT technologies were investigated from 1999 to 2018 in Korea, the United States, Japan, and Europe. The technology patents were analyzed for international patent status and technological competitiveness by country. Although there was a slow increase in the overall number of patents for the fire protection technology from 1999 to 2014, the number has increased rapidly since 2015. The analysis in this study was intended to afford basic data on existing research to understand the trend and impact of the incorporation of the technology for the 4th Industrial Revolution into extant technology.
