포은 시의 심상과 그 함의

The image of Poeun s object and its implications

본고는 포은 시의 심상을 분석하여 그것이 지니는 함의를 풀어내는 데 목적이 있다. 이는 포은 시에 나타난 심상과 그 미학적 원리를 통한 시적 효과를 밝혀냄으로써 포은 시에 대해 새로운 관점으로의 시 읽기 방법을 모색하기 위한 것이다. 포은의 시에는 물[水- 海, 江, 溪, 川, 雨]을 비롯하여 천지, 달[月] 등 역동적인 심상을 그린 작품이 산재한다. 그 ‘천지’에서 적출한 음과 양, 뜨는 달과 지는 달의 밝음과 어두움, 그리고 거기에서의 그리움을 인도(人道)로 가져온 점, 물에서의 생명력과 인(仁)의 안배를 그리고 있는 점, 구름을 통해 도를 적출한 점 등을 종합해보면, 그러한 심상들의 함의가 바로 도의 실천으로 귀결되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이를 통해 포은 시의 도학적 면모와 호방한 풍격 등도 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 포은의 시에는 그가 목도한 산천, 암석, 초목, 사찰, 역참, 성루 등에 대한 심상을 언어화 한 작품들이 발견되는데, 곧 안정과 귀거래를 지향하는 함의가 있다. 특히 국내의 산뿐만 아니라 중국의 사행길에서 만난 수많은 산을 지나며 「鐵山」과 「三山」 두 작품만을 지었는데, 거기에는 상승의 심사를 활용하여 높은 정신경계의 지향, 포부, 이상 세계의 동향보다 안정을 추구하고 이를 그리고 있었다. 특히 버드나무를 소재로 한 작품에서 더욱 그러함이 발견되었다. 한편 소나무, 대나무, 매화, 난 등을 대상으로 창작한 작품에서는 그의 충직과 정신 경계 등이 잘 드러나 있었다.

The purpose of this book is to analyze the inscriptions of Poeun poetry and to solve the implications of it. This is to explore ways to read poetry from a new perspective on Poeun poetry by revealing its poetic effect through its aesthetic principles and the imagery shown in Poeun poetry. Poeun s poems have many works depicting dynamic images such as water, sky, earth, and moon. When summing up the yin and yang extracted from the sky and the earth, the brightness and darkness of the rising moon and the setting moon, and the longing there, the arrangement of life and love in the water, and the deeds in the clouds, we can see that the meaning of these images is concluded by the practice of morality. Through this, the Taoist aspect of Poeun s poems and the proud aspect of Poeun s poems were also identified. Poeun s poems also found works that were written in the language of his thoughts on mountains, rocks, grass, trees, temples, backcham, and pavilions, which were aimed at stability and the desire to return. This is especially true in works made of willow trees. Meanwhile, his loyalty and mental boundaries were well illustrated in his works for pine trees, bamboo, plum blossoms and orchids.
