Evaluating Relationship Quality and The Moderating Effect of Fairness and Switching Cost in Healthcare Supply Chain

제약회사와 병원 간의 의료공급사슬의 특징 중 하나는 취급된 상품의 특성으로 인해 협상력에 있어 일정부문 비대칭적 거래 구조를 갖는다는 것이다. 이러한 비대칭적 거래구조에서는 의존성이 높은 공급업체가 구매업체의 강압적 영향력 행사나 기회주의적 행동에 영향을 받기에 무엇보다 공정성의 역할이 중요하다. 이에 본 연구는 제약회사와 병원 간의 의료공급사슬 체계에서 거래에 대한 만족, 신뢰 및 장기지향성 관계에서 공정성과 전환비용의 역할을 실증적 자료를 바탕으로 분석하고자 한다. 분석결과 거래관계 만족이 거래관계 신뢰에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤으며, 신뢰는 장기지향성에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 한편, 공정성이 만족과 신뢰 간 관계에서 조절역할의 경우 분배공정성은 유의하지 않은 반면에 절차공정성은 유의하게 나타났다. 마지막으로 거래관계 신뢰와 장기지향성 간의 관계에서 전환비용의 조절효과는 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 다음과 같은 점에서 가치가 있다. 첫째, 제약회사와 병원 간의 비대칭적 거래구조에서 관계변수들 간 영향관계와 공정성의 상호작용역할을 실증적으로 규명하여, 장기지향적 행동을 이끌어 낼 수 있는 방안을 모색하였다. 둘째, 만족과 신뢰 그리고 신뢰와 장기지향성 간의 관계에서 전환비용의 조절역할을 규명하여, 공급사슬관계 구축에 있어 전략적 활용방안을 모색하였다.

One of the characteristics of the healthcare supply chain is that they have an asymmetric transaction structure. In this asymmetric transaction structure, the role of fairness is more important than anything else because suppliers with high dependence are affected by the forceful influence of the purchaser or the opportunistic behavior. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the roles of fairness and swithcing costs in the relationship between satisfaction, trust, and long-term orientation for transactions in the healthcare supply chain between pharmaceutical companies and hospitals, based on empirical data. As a result of the analysis, the satisfaction had a significant positive(+) effect on the trust, and the trust had a significant positive(+) effect on the long-term orientation. On the other hand, the distribution fairness was not significant, while procedural fairness was significant in the relationship between satisfaction and trust. Lastly, the moderating effect of conversion cost had a significant effect in the relationship between trust and long-term orientation. This study is valuable in the following. First, in the asymmetrical transaction structure between pharmaceutical companies and hospitals, the role of interaction between the influences and fairness between the relational variables was empirically identified, and a plan to induce long-term oriented behavior was sought. Second, the switching costs was identified in the relationship between satisfaction and trust, trust and long-term orientation and a strategic utilization plan was sought.
