As this study is what discussed about the process that kh&#246;&#246;mii(х&#1257;&#1257;ми), which is a unique vocal technique of Mongolia, is transmitted as the stage performing art focusing on a field survey of the Mongolian music, it is what made a full discussion of which the Mongolia race created a unique vocal technique with adapting itself to eco-friendly environment from the ancient times, and of which it was positioned as art music according to a change in social history. First, through a previous research, the origin of kh&#246;&#246;mii was discussed with 4 things such as ① the origin of imitating nature, ② the origin of tuul’(тууль), which is epic song, ③ the origin of shaman’s song(б&#1257;&#1257;ын дуудлага), ④ the origin of Tibetan Buddhist music. But the origin of kh&#246;&#246;mii is what cannot be affirmed exactly as a certain time. It is not what faith or religion became the origin like shamanism or Tibetan buddhism. Kh&#246;&#246;mii in Mongolia has the most feasibility for the origin of imitating nature that has been inherited from the ancient times. Second, the geographical distribution according to the natural environment of kh&#246;&#246;mii is what was passed mainly among the Oirad races as the Mongolian people who are distributed centering on the Altai. Third, kh&#246;&#246;mii, which had been music in Mongolian nomads’ life before the 1950s, was on stage as a special music genre of the performing stage in the wake of being established a Khovd-city theater in Khovd aimag of the western part in Mongolia following the 1950s, and reaches today with being spread to Ulaanbaatar that is the capital. Also, kh&#246;&#246;mii singers developed diverse kh&#246;&#246;mii singing methods. After beginning to sing the monotonous Mongolian traditional vocal such as bogino duu(богино дуу) as a folk song and <Altain magtaal(Алтайн магтаал)> as magtaal(магтаал) with the kh&#246;&#246;mii singing method, they are singing urtyn duu(ур тын дуу), which is emphasized professionalism as the more advanced kh&#246;&#246;mii singing method, and further even western music. This is because the kh&#246;&#246;mii art, which was excluded lyrics, was on everyone’s lips in the expression as saying of playing the musical instrument with a human being’s voice.
