In Mongolia, “Zurkhai” is a collective of studies on astronomical, astrological, and transitional laws, such as solar and moon, moving positions of stars, rotation of planets, and human. In the 13th century, Yin and Yang of China began to develop into Mongolia, and in the late 16th century Tibetan Buddhism was accepted to Mongol. Then Mongol take the astronomy of India and Tibet and made it suitable for Mongolia. In the 18th century, the Mongolian calendar was equipped with a variety of related publications and systematization of theories. The purpose of this article is to examine what kinds and theories of Mongolian’s calendar and how it influenced the Mongols. In particular, I examined the writings and background of Merged garakhin oron that the foundation of the 18th century Mongolian calendar development, and suggested the influence of the Mongolian calendar on the development of various studies. Through this, we examined how the Mongolian calendar produced in each Mongolian region affected the life of the Mongols.
