TRANSLATING ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM TERMINOLOGIES INTO MONGOLIAN

In the era of globalization and advanced technology, modern high-tech devices and technological innovations are taking place in our daily lives creating new usages and modern high-tech lifestyles, as well as new terminologies and professional words in use, respectively. Thus, it is vital to study the translation methods for terminologies and use of professional words for specific purposes in pragmatics and sociolinguistic contexts by applying corpus-based approaches. The article explores the translation methods for translating on-board diagnostic (OBD) system and Electronic System Manuals (ESM) from English into Mongolian.
