Assessment and suggestions on Inner Mongolia s investment and trade with Mongolia under the framework of “the Belt and Road”

蒙古国是中国的近邻, 是“一带一路”重要沿线国家, 也是最早支持和积极参与中国“一带一路”倡议的国家之一。而内蒙古自治区是实施 “一带一路”倡议和中蒙俄经济走廊的核心枢纽地区, 特别是在实现中国“一带一路”倡议和蒙古国“发展之路”战略对接合作当中, 内蒙古自治区和蒙古国的经贸合作将占有举足轻重的重要地位。

Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Mongolia are connected by mountains and rivers and live close to each other. It plays a bridge and link role in the development of bilateral relations between China and Mongolia. Bilateral economic and trade cooperation between the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Mongolia plays an important role in China’s “the Belt and Road initiative and Mongolia’s “development road strategy”. This article briefly introduces the pragmatic cooperation process in the framework of the Belt and Road and “development road” in China and Mongolia, the basic situation of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Mongolia, and the current situation of investment and trade between the two countries. On this basis, it makes a risk assessment on the cooperation between the two sides, and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for future reform.
