세형동검문화 청동의기의 의미 복원 연구

A Study on the Meaning of Bronze Ritual Wares in the Korean-type Bronze Dagger Culture

본고의 목적은 민속지나 해외 연구 사례를 통해 세형동검문화 청동의기의 의미와 변화에 대해 고찰하는 것이다. 세형동검문화는 동경의 뚜렷한 형식 변화를 기준으로 3시기로 나눌 수 있으며, 시기마다 유물의 조합상이달라지는 특징이 있다. 무기류와 검파형동기, 방패형동기 등을 비롯한 이형동기는 무력을 상징하며, 집단과 피장자를 보호하는 역할을 하였던 것으로 추정된다. 거울류와 원개형동기는 빛을 반사하여 장착하고 있는 사람의신성성을 더하고 맺히는 상을 왜곡시켜 악령을 쫓아내는 역할을 하였으며, 방울류는 금속의 소리를 사용해 의례의 환경을 조성하고 사용자가 신을 부를 수 있도록 도왔던 것으로 생각된다. 공구류는 기술과 생산을 상징하는 청동의기였으며 물질적 풍요를 기원하고 높은 기술을 과시하였던 것으로 추정된다. 세형동검문화 의례에는각각의 상징성을 가진 청동의기를 시청각적으로 활용해 치러졌으며, 이는 개인과 집단을 보호하는 벽사의 성격을 띠고 있었던 것으로 해석되었다. 그리고 세형동검문화 집단의 결속력을 강화할 필요성과 청동기의 주조 기술 발전을 배경으로, 청동의기를 사용한 의례 행위를 통해 집단의 정체성을 강화하고 한반도의 독자적인 세형동검문화로 발전할 수 있었던 것이다.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the meaning and changes of the Korean-type Bronze Dagger Culture through ethnography and overseas research examples. The Korean-type Bronze Dagger Culture can be divided into three periods based on a distinct change in the form of bronze mirrors, and the combination of artifacts varies from time to time. The bronze weapons and unusual bronze wares(Bronze Split Bamboo-Shaped Artifact and Bronze Shield-Shaped Artifact) represented force and were believed to have played a role in protecting groups and subjects. The bronze mirror and the disk-shaped Bronze Implementation reflected light to add to the owner s sanctity and distort the image that formed to drive away evil spirits. The bronze bells used the sound of metal to create a ritual environment and help users bring out gods. The bronze tool was the bronze ritual ware, symbolizing technology and production. It is presumed that they showed off their high technology in the hope of material abundance. The Korean-type Bronze Dagger Cultural rite was performed using the bronze ritual ware, which has each symbolism, audiovisually. It is believed to protect individuals and groups. Against the backdrop of the need to strengthen the solidarity of the Korean-type Bronze Dagger cultural groups and the development of casting technology, the ritual activities using the bronze ritual ware allowed the group to strengthen its identity and develop into an independent Korean-type Bronze Dagger culture on the Korean Peninsula.
