The resistance of brake fluids (DOT-3 and DOT-4) to electrical conductivity is generally measured as a diagnostic method to detect contaminations in them. In this paper, a linear regression analysis proves the DOT-4 brake fluid, primarily used in VSM (vehicle stability management) control vehicles, to be more efficient in light transmittance than the DOT-3 fluid. Consequently, the results show that linear regression analysis in the approximately 4-5% range is more effective in DOT-4 than in DOT-3.
