아산호 유역 담수어의 흡충류 피낭유충 감염상

Infection States of Freshwater Fishes with Metacercariae in Asan Lake

In order to survey the infection status of freshwater fishes with trematode metacercariae in Asan Lake located in Kyunggi-do and Chungchongnam-do, a total of 118 freshwater fishes of 9 species were captured with a fish net from late April to early June 1998. The fishes captured were brought to our laboratory and examined under a strereomicroscope after the artificial digestion. Eight out of nine species examined were found to be infected with metacercariae Clonorchis sinensis metacercariae(MC) were detected from 5 species of the fishes, Exorchis ovijormis MC from 8 species, Metrochis orientalis MC from 4 species and Echinochasmus japonicus MC from one species. In the infection rates of Clonorchis sinensis, Gnathopogon atromoculatus was the highest(53.3%), followed by Pseudorasbora parva(45.5%), Aphyocypris chinensis(40.0%), Carassius auratus(11.1%) and Hemiculter eigenmani (4.8%). The infection rate with the E. ovφrmis MC as varied from 18.1 % to 54.5% in 8 species of freshwater fishes. The infection rate as with the Metrochis orientalis as relatively low and variable from 2.4% to 36.4% in 4 species of freshwater fishes. The result of survey indicates that the freshwater fishes could be sources of human infection of C. sinensis and E. japonicus in the surveyed area.
