The effect of convergence education on Jigsaw and PBL: Focusing on the application of fashion marketing subject

목적 본 연구에서는 학습자 중심의 교육방법인 PBL과 협동학습의 대표적인 모형인 Jigsaw학습법을 패션디자인학과 <패션마케팅> 교과목에 접목하여 새로운 교수법 모델을 제시하고 교육적 효과를 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 방법 PBL과 Jigsaw학습법을 적용한 <패션마케팅> 교과목의 수업설계는 각 학습법의 단점을 보완하는 형태로 설계되었으며, 연구방법은 교수법에 대한 학생들의 인터뷰 및 자기 성찰지를 통한 내용을 분석하는 방식으로 진행되었다. 결과 본 연구 결과 전반적으로 수강생들의 수업에 대한 만족도가 매우 긍정적으로 평가되었으며, 학생들은 본 교수법으로 인해 좀 더 능동적으로 수업에 임할 수 있었다고 평가하고 있었다. 결론 결론적으로 Jigsaw와 PBL을 융합한 학습법이 서로의 단점을 보완해줄 수 있는 기능을 갖고 있으므로, 이후 Jigsaw와 PBL을 접목한 학습법이 다양한 분야에서 지속적으로 연구가 이루어지기를 기대한다.

Objectives In this study, PBL which is a learner-centered teaching method, and Jigsaw learning method, a representative teaching method model of cooperative learning, were incorporated into the subject of fashion marketing in the Department of Fashion Design and Merchandising. This study aims to present a new teaching model and identify educational effects. Methods The teaching plan for fashion marketing subjects with PBL and Jigsaw learning methods is designed to compensate for the shortcomings of each learning method. The research method was conducted by analyzing the contents of students interviews and paper of self-examination on teaching methods. Results As a result of the class with a convergence of Jigsaw and PBL, students satisfaction with the class was generally highly positive, and students were more active in the class due to this method. Conclusions It was confirmed from the results of this study that the teaching method, which combines Jigsaw and PBL, has the ability to compensate for each other s shortcomings. Therefore, in the future, academia expects that the learning method incorporating Jigsaw and PBL will continue to be studied in various subjects.
