조기중재에 대한 장애유아 부모의 현실적 기대와 잠정적 기대에 대한 상관성 연구

A Study on the Correlation between the Current Expectations of Parents of Children with Disability on their Children and Their Potential Expectations of Early Intervention

장애유아의 조기진단평가가 수행되면 다음 단계는 조기중재이다. 장애유아의 부모는 조기중재를 통하여 자신의 자녀가 보다 자립적인 생활을 할 수 있기를 바란다. 본 연구에서는 장애유아의 부모가 조기중재를 통하여 가지는 자녀에 대한 현실적 기대와 미래지향적인 잠정적 기대에 대한 차이를 알아보고자 하였다. 38문항으로 구성된 설문지를 장애전담어린이집, 특수학교 유치원, 그리고 언어치료실에서 조기중재를 받고 있는 장애유아의 부모에게 배포하여 283매를 회수하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서는 장애유아의 조기중재에 대한 만족도가 높으면 장애유아 부모의 현재적 기대감과 미래의 잠정적 기대감에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있음을 제시하였다. 따라서 조기중재 프로그램의 질적 운영과 지원이 장애유아 부모의 자녀에 대한 교육지원의 수월성이 보장될 수 있음을 본 연구에서는 시사하고 있다.

AThe early intervention in children with disability is very important not only in improving their disability and preventing them from having the second and third disability, but also in getting rid of potential symptoms. However, such an intervention has been too much depending on its organizations and expert groups and it has been very limited to considering the demands of the parents of children with disability - the end users of early intervention. This study suggested the early intervention models and let relevant people use them by figuring out the current and potential expectation on their disabled children and the early intervention. The subjects of this study included 283 parents of children with disability who have been receiving the early intervention in children s preschool for disabled children, special kindergarten and linguistic therapy and a survey was conducted and the following categories have been analyzed by using the frequency analysis for each variable, analysis of variance and Tukey HSD analysis. The correlation coefficient between current expectation and potential expectation of parents with disabled children showed statistically significant differences in every field. Therefore this study concluded that parents satisfaction on the early intervention program could become a positive influence over their expectation on their disabled children.
