본 연구는 자기결정의 정의와 구성영역과 하위요소를 탐색하는데 주안점을 두었다.자기결정의 구성영역은 자율성, 자기규칙, 심리적 역량, 자아실현 네 가지로 대별된다. 구성영역에 따른 하위요소들은 선택결정 기술, 의사결정 기술, 문제해결 기술, 목표설정과 성취기술, 독립위험 무릅쓰기 및 안전기술, 자기관찰ㆍ자기평가 및 자기강화 기술, 자기교수 기술, 자기권리주장리더쉽 기술, 내적통제소재, 자기효능감 및 효능감 기대에 대한 긍정적인 귀인, 자아인식과 자기지식으로 나누어진다. 이들 하위구성요소에 따른 지도방법들과 전략 및 구체적인 지도사상들을 탐색하는 일이 후속 연구의 중요과제들이다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate on the essential characteristics of self-determination and their component elements as key komains of transition education. Essential Characteristics of self-determination contain four including autonomy, self-regulation, psychological empowerment, and self-realization. Component elements of self-determination contain choice making, and decision making skills, problem solving skills, goal-setting and attainment skills, independence, risk taking, and safety skills, self-observation, evaluation and reinforcement skills, self-instruction skills, self-advocacy and leadership skills, internal locus of control, positive self-efficacy and outcome expectancy, self-awareness and self-understanding and so on. Future studies should be focused upon review on teaching methods and strategies and examples of their components elements.
