상황중심 보완대체 의사소통 앱 사용이 중도·중복장애 아동의 의사소통능력에 미치는 효과

Effects of the Scene-based AAC Application App Intervention for Communicative Competence of a Child with Severe and Multiple Disabilities

본 연구는 상황중심 어휘배열 AAC 앱을 이용한 중재가 중도ㆍ중복장애 아동의 의사소통능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 데에 목적이 있었다. 연구 설계는 상황간 간헐중다기초선 설계법을 사용하였으며, 학교, 가정, 지역사회의 세 가지 상황에서 AAC 앱을 이용한 중재 프로그램을 적용하면서 나타나는 중도ㆍ중복장애 아동의 의사소통 기능, 역할, 성과, 발성모방의 변화를 분석하였다. 연구의 결과, 첫째, 상황중심 AAC 앱을 이용한 중재는 중도ㆍ중복장애 아동의 의사소통 기능 변화에 효과적이었다. 둘째, 상황중심 AAC 앱을 이용한 중재는 중도ㆍ중복장애 아동의 의사소통 역할 변화에 효과적이었다. 셋째, 상황중심 AAC 앱을 이용한 중재는 중도ㆍ중복장애 아동의 의사소통 성과 변화에 효과적이었다. 넷째, 상황중심 AAC 앱을 이용한 중재는 중도ㆍ중복장애 아동의 발성모방의 변화에 효과적이었다. 본 연구를 통하여 중도ㆍ중복장애 아동을 위한 AAC 보조도구에 상징을 배열하는 새로운 방법으로 본 연구자들이 개발한 상황중심 배열의 효과성을 알 수 있었다. 또한 스마트 기기를 활용한 AAC 중재가 학교와 가정 뿐 아니라 지역사회에서도 중도ㆍ중복장애 아동의 의사소통 능력 향상에 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to find the effect of a scene-based AAC App for the communicative competence of a child with severe and multiple disabilities. The subject was an 8-year-old boy, but his receptive vocabulary age was two and a half year old and his IQ was 32. His main communicative modes were gesture, pointing and approximately vocalization. The AAC App was developed based on the ios platform for using iPad. This App has little navigation process for searching items. If the child chooses one scene in the app, all symbols are showed in a scene which he had chosen. It does not need to consume time to find items which he wants to express. Three different situations, the school, home and supermarket, was selected to analyze the outcome of the intervention using this AAC app. The study design was the multiple prove baseline across settings design and the intervention program was composed of the script activities, symbolic learning program and communicative function train using milieu teaching strategy. The data was collected by analyzing the video clip of three different situations recorded in portable camcorder and the outcome was analyzed in terms of communicative function, role, outcome, and the vocal imitation. As a result of this study, the intervention using the scene-based AAC App was effective on the communicative function changes, the communicative role changes, the communicative outcome changes and, the vocal imitation changes of the child with severe and multiple disabilities.
