통합학급 초등학생의 장애학생에 대한 수용태도가 공동체의식에 미치는 영향

The Impacts of the Non-disabled Elementary Inclusive Classroom Students’ Acceptable Attitude toward Students with Disabilities on the Sense of Community

본 연구의 목적은 통합학급 초등학생의 장애학생에 대한 수용태도가 공동체 의식에 미치는 영향을 탐색하는 것이었다. 이를 위해 B시 소재 초등학교 통합학급에 재학 중인 4-6학년 비장애 초등학생 150명을 대상으로 장애학생에 대한 수용태도와 공동체의식을 조사하였다. 이에 따른 주된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 통합학급 초등학생의 장애학생에 대한 수용태도 수준은 긍정적으로 나타났으며, 하위영역 중 경도의 일탈된 행동에 대한 반응의 수준이 긍정적으로 나타났다. 변인에 따른 차이에서는 통합경험, 또래도우미 경험, 자원봉사활동 경험, 장애이해교육경험, 장애체험경험, 주위장애인 유무에 따라 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 통합학급 초등학생의 공동체 의식은 긍정적인 수준으로 나타났으며, 하위영역에서는, 조화와 단결, 친밀성과 소속감에 대한 인식 수준이 긍정적으로 나타났다. 변인별 차이에서는 또래도우미 경험, 장애인자원봉사활동 경험, 장애이해교육, 주위장애인 유무에 따라 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 통합학급 초등학생의 수용태도 중 실제적 접촉에 대한 인식이 공동체의식에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 향후 비장애 학생의 장애학생에 대한 긍정적 태도 정립과 성공적인 통합교육을 위한 실제적 방안 모색에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the impacts of the attitude toward students with disabilities on the sense of community of elementary inclusive classroom students. To this end, 150 elementary school students without disabilities were asked to complete the questionnaires. The results were as follows. First, the level of attitude toward students with disabilities was positive; in detail, the level of ‘the response on the slightly deviant behavior’ was the most positive domain. Second, the level of sense of community of elementary inclusive classroom students was positive; in particular, the level of ‘harmony and cooperation’ was the most positive domain. Third, the attitude toward students with disabilities affected insignificantly on the sense of community of elementary students without disabilities in inclusive classrooms. Based on these results, it was suggested that there is a need to construct various practical programs that offer the opportunities to join with students with and without disabilities together.
