텍스트마이닝을 이용한국내 통합교육 연구 동향 분석

Trend Analysis of Research on Inclusive Education in Korea Using Text Mining

연구목적: 이 연구에서는 국내 학술지에 게재된 통합교육 관련 논문을 대상으로 텍스트마이닝을 이용하여 통합교육 연구의 주제 영역 분포, 군집단위의 구조 및 시기별 분포를 분석하였다. 연구방법: 통합교육을 다룬 분석대상 논문을 선정하기 위해 한국교육학술정보원의 검색엔진을 사용하여 통합교육이 법적으로 보장된 1995년부터 2014년 현재까지 등재지 또는 등재후보지이면서 초록에 통합교육이라는 단어가 1회 이상 언급된 논문으로서 장애학생 또는 통합교육을 다룬 논문 786편을 최종 분석대상으로 선정하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 국내 통합교육 관련 연구 786편의 제목 및 초록을 바탕으로 문헌 클러스터링을 한 결과 총 52개의 군집이 생성되었다. 둘째, 52개 군집의 군집간 유사도를 이용하여 2차 군집분석을 실시한 결과 총 14개의 군집을 생성하였다. 셋째, 2단계 군집화 결과 국내 통합교육 연구는 통합교육에 대한 운영 및 인식에 대한 연구와 유치원 통합교육의 운영 및 인식에 대한 연구로 크게 구분되는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 다차원척도를 이용하여 군집의 구조를 분석한 결과, 통합교육 연구의 중심은 통합교육 지원 제도 및 장애이해교육 운영, 통합교육 프로그램의 적용 및 효과, 통합교육에 대한 인식 및 태도인 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 시기별로 분석한 결과, 예비교사 통합교육 프로그램 운영 및 인식, 교수방법, 통합교육 운영에 대한 인식 및 효과, 청각장애학생 통합교육 운영 및 인식, 어린이집의 통합교육 운영 실태 및 인식 등의 군집이 다른 군집에 비해 성장 폭이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 이 연구를 통하여 국내 통합교육의 연구 분야의 지적구조 및 최근 동향을 전반적으로 살펴볼 수 있었다. 이 연구는 텍스트마이닝 기법을 통하여 통합교육를 위계적으로 집단화하고 또 공간적으로 규명해 보고자 한 국내 최초의 연구라는 점에 의의를 찾을 수 있을 것이다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyse research trends and characteristics of inclusive education in Korea using a scientific approach, using text mining. Text mining efficiently indexes words that occur in a document and clusters documents or categorizes them according to word frequency. It also effectively derives overall trends and comprehensively analyses a substantial amount of published research. Method & Results: Overall, 786 articles that mentioned inclusive education in their abstracts were collected. A total of 6,824 index terms were extracted and their term-weighted matrix was calculated using a literature-literature cosine similarity matrix. The terms were categorized terms into 14 clusters by two-step clustering. which were determined using cosine similarity. Analysis of the cluster structure using the multidimensional scaling results indicated that the clusters labelled Supporting System for Inclusive Education and Understanding Disability Awareness, Implementation and Effect of Inclusive Education Program, and Perception and Effect on Implementing Inclusive Education were central in the research of inclusive education. Conclusion: This approach is effective and efficient when analysing a substantial amount of literature in a limited time period. It also reveals information concerning the relationship between documents and a hierarchical structure. This allows for the simple determination of a topic’s distribution, as it did in this study, which easily identified 786 articles that addressed inclusive education research.
