자기결정 진로발달 전략이 성인 중증장애인의 작업수행능력에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Self-Determined Career Development Model on the Job Performance for Adults with Moderate to Severe Mental Retardation

이 연구는 자기결정 진로발달 전략이 성인 중증장애인의 작업수행능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 목적이 있었다. 연구참여자는 한국장애인고용촉진공단 전남 직업능력 개발센터의 직업훈련생 세 명으로, 설계는 대상자간 중다간헐기초선 설계를 적용하였다. 종속변인은 물감분류하기나 발파작업과제의 작업수행시간과 정확도였다. 중재결과 참여자들의 작업수행시간이 감소하였으며, 수행의 정확도는 유지되었다. 이 연구는 성인 중증장애인이 더 나은 문제해결자가 되고, 자신의 흥미에 기초한 직업을 선택하고 목표를 세우는 것을 배울 수 있으며, 새로운 것을 배우도록 촉진할 수 있음을 시사한다. 또한 이 연구는 성인장애인에게 선택하기, 결정하기 및 자기조정과 같은 자기결정 전략이 직업활동에 중요한 요인이 되며, 궁극적으로 이들의 삶의 질 향상에 기여할 수 있음을 시사하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of self-determined career development model on the job performance for adults with moderate to severe mental retardation in vocational rehabilitation training center. Multiple probe baseline design across subjects were employed in three students adults with mental retardation. The dependent variables were the necessary time and accuracy during performing assemble of pigment set or Valpar 10. The result of intervention was showed the reduction of the necessary time and increase of accuracy of performance. In conclusion, self-determined career development model was effective on improving job performance since it lead to the use of self-directed learning strategies and encompass various strategies to use. However, it is necessary to develop detailed instruction and guidance for adults with mental retardation to apply. Therefore, follow up studies in the future should examine the effects of various programs or strategies, which is applicable to adults with mental retardation.
