초등학교 통합교육 담당 교사의 개별화교육계획(IEP) 인식과 운영 실태

Current status and awareness of operation of IEP by elementary inclusive education teachers

초등학교 통합교육 담당 교사의 개별화교육계획(IEP)에 대한 인식과 운영 실태를 파악하고 개선방안을 제시하기 위해 164부의 설문지가 분석되었다. 조사결과, 대부분의 교사들이 IEP 작성이 필요한 것으로 인식하고 있으며, 특히 교육경력 5년 이상인 교사 집단에서 더 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 작성된 IEP는 실제로 일부만이 실제 교육에 실행·활용되고 있는 것으로 파악되었는데, 이는 IEP 작성이 형식적으로만 행해지고 있기 때문인 것으로 조사되었다. IEP를 계획하고 실행하는 과정에서 겪는 어려움으로는 IEP 운영위원회 구성과 IEP작성시 참고할 만한 교육자료의 부족이며, 효율적인 IEP 운영을 위해서는 모든 교사, 특히 교육경력이 많은 일반교사들을 대상으로 IEP 관련 연수의 확충이 필요한 것으로 조사되었다.

164 series of surveys are analyzed to know the current status and how the elementary inclusive education teachers recognize about the IEP, and to present improvement. The survey results show that many of the teachers recognized the need for the IEP preparation, especially it is clearly observed from the teachers who worked for more than 5 years. It is investigated that some of prepared IEP is used in education since IEP preparation is just a formal program, In addition, the survey results show that the major difficulty in planning and in execution is lack of the reference material, and more opportunities of workshops for all the teachers especially teachers of general education should be given for more effective IEP operation.
