중도척수장애인의 사회참여와 장애인종합복지관의 역할에 관한 연구

A Study on the Social Participation of Noncongenital-spinal Injured Persons and Roles of Welfare Center for People with Disability: Focusing on Grounded Theory

본 연구는 장애인종합복지관을 통한 중도척수장애인의 사회참여 과정과 역할 및 기능을 질적연구를 고찰하기 위해서 중도척수장애인 6명을 대상으로 심층면담하여 자료를 수집하고 근거이론 방식을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과 중도척수장애인들의 장애인종합복지관을 통한 사회참여 과정은 장애극복 및 사회활동의 시작➔ 장애인종합복지관 프로그램 이용➔ 신체적, 정신적, 사회적 효과성 증대➔ 갈등과 지지경험➔ 갈등의 고착 및 활동범위 확대➔ 이타적 사회활동 계획으로 전개 되었고, 중도척수장애인들의 사회참여를 위한 장애인종합복지관의 발전적 방향은 중도척수장애인 재활전문인력 확보, 지나친 보호적 태도 완화, 갈등에 대한 시기적절한 개입, 충분한 공간과 부대시설 확충 및 행정적 정보 확보 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 본 연구는 중도척수장애인의 사회참여에 장애인종합복지관은 파트너로서 역할을 수행하고 있음을 확인하고 장애인복지의 실천적 함의를 제시 하였다.

This study collected materials and analyzed them with the method of grounded theory for noncongenital-spinal injured persons living in A city of Jeollabuk-do so as to examine roles of functions of welfare center for people with disability for the process of noncongenital-spinal injured persons social participation through the qualitative study. As the result, the process of noncongenital-spinal injured persons social participation by welfare center for people with disability showed start of social activity after disability overcoming, using of welfare center s for people with disability program, increase of physical, mental and social effectiveness, experience of conflict and support, expansion of social activity s range, planning of altruistic social activity in order. For the developmental direction of the future, there were grasping of professional manpower for noncongenital-spinal injured persons rehabilitation, relief of excessive protective attitude, seasonable intervention for conflict, expansion of sufficient space and facilities for disabled people, securing of administrative information, etc. Based on the above results, this study confirmed that welfare center for people with disability is performing the roles as a partner of noncongenital-spinal injured persons for social participation and suggested practical implication of social welfare for the disabled.
