고등학교 졸업이상 성인장애인의 취업현황 및 취업영향 요인연구

A study of factors influencing the employment status and employment of adults with disabilities who have graduated high school

본 연구는 고등학교 졸업 이후의 장애인의 취업현황 및 고용에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고자 하였다. 특히 교육이후의 성인기로의 전환을 목표로 하는 생애주기적(life-cycle) 과제로서의 진로 및 취업의 영향정도를 인구사회학적 요인, 장애 및 건강관련 요인, 인적자본 요인, 고용관련 요인에 따라 어떻게 나타나는지 분석하고자 하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 인구사회학적 요인으로는 성별, 배우자 유무가 영향요인으로 나타났고, 장애 및 건강관련 요인으로는 장애정도, 만성질환 유무, 건강의 일 지장 정도가 영향변수로 나타났다. 인적자본 요인으로는 대인관계 및 조직적응 능력, 자격증 유무가 통계적으로 유의한 변수이며 마지막 고용관련 요인에서는 고용서비스 경험 유무가 영향변수로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 장애학생의 교육에서 고용으로의 전환을 위한 방안이 모색될 필요가 있다. 더욱이 진로교육적 관점에서의 교육과정과 교육내용, 교육 이후의 직업세계로의 전환을 촉진하는 전문 직업재활과의 연계 방안에 대한 검토를 제안할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate employment situation and contributing factors that influence employment of special education students after their high school education. Especially, the critical factors of careers and employment as the matter of life-cycle that aims effective transition to adulthood are explored in various ways such as sociology of population, disabilities and health, human capital, and employment. The results are as follows. In the view of sociology of population, the identified factors include gender and marital status. The affected variables in relation to disabilities and health involve the degree of disabilities, presence of chronic diseases, and the level of disturbance in working. Moreover, in the perspective of human capital, interpersonal relationship skills, adaptability, and obtaining certifications were statistically significant factors. Lastly, from the aspect of employment, previous working experience was a crucial influence. Based on these results, it is suggested that the ways to make successful and smooth transition process for special education students from education to employment need to develop. In addition, educational curriculum and content from the view of career development and establishment of a link to vocational rehabilitation, which facilitates the transition process, can be discussed and examined.
