중증장애인의 저상버스 이용 실태 및 요구 분석

Analysis of Practices and Needs on the Low Floor Bus for People with Severe Disabilities

본 연구는 P 지역에 거주하고 있는 중증장애인을 대상으로 저상버스의 이용 실태 및 운행에 대한 이용자의 요구를 분석한 것이다. 조사대상자는 저상버스 이용경험이 있는 중증 지체장애인 101명을 대상으로 조사연구 결과를 분석하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중증장애인의 저상버스를 이용하는 원인, 이용 횟수, 이용시간, 동반자, 환승방법, 저상버스 운행 정보습득 경로에 대한 이용자 특성을 밝혀내었다. 둘째, 저상버스 운영에 대하여 중증장애인들은 만족하지 않다고 응답하였다. 셋째, 중증장애인은 저상버스 운영에 대한 개선사항으로 운전기사의 태도와 탑승 시 불편사항을 가장 많이 요구하였다. 요금 부분에서는 대중교통 바우처 도입과 운전기사 부분에서는 저상버스에 대한 정보제공 및 친절교육 강화의 필요성을 강조하였다. 연구 결과를 중심으로 중증장애인의 저상버스 이용에 대한 개선점과 연구의 제한점, 후속연구에 대하여 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate practices and needs of the low floor bus for the people with severe disabilities. The participants of the study were 101 persons with severe disabilities. The results were as follows. First, as the result of analyzing the characteristics of the people with severe disabilities, it was found about the reason, time, partners, transfer methods, way to how to find the bus service information on using the low floor bus. Second, the average of the level of satisfaction on the use of the low floor buses was low. Third, the people with severe disabilities demanded to change bus drivers’ attitudes toward people with disabilities and inconvenience of bus boarding system. As well, they requested to introduce public transportation voucher and disability perception education for the bus drivers. Finally, the implications and limitations of the research and suggestions for further studies were discussed.
