장애아의 문제행동에 대한 부모의 중재 실태와 인식

Current Status and Perception on Parents Intervention toward Problem Behaviors of Children with Disabilities

본 연구는 장애자녀를 둔 부모의 문제행동에 대한 중재 실태와 인식을 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 부산과 경남지역 소재 특수학교, 특수학급, 일반학급에 재학 중인 장애자녀를 둔 부모 172명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 이에 따른 주된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애아 부모의 중재 실태에서, 발생빈도가 가장 높은 문제행동은 공격적인 말이나 행동으로 나타났으며, 문제행동에 대한 대처 방법으로 훈계를 가장 많이 적용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 행동수정 기법 사용에 대한 실태에서는 강화를 주로 사용하고 있었으며, 중재의 효과성에 대해서는 보통 수준이었다. 둘째, 문제행동 중재에 대한 부모의 인식은 다소 높은 수준으로 나타났으며, 하위영역 중 문제행동 전문가 상담 필요성에 대한 인식이 가장 높게 나타났으며 이와 함께 문제행동 해결을 위한 노력 의지, 문제행동의 영향력에 대한 인식 수준도 차례대로 높게 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 장애자녀의 문제행동에 대한 좀 더 효과적인 중재 방법의 적용에 대하여 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status and perception on parents intervention toward problem behaviors of children with disabilities. 172 parents of children with disabilities participated for the survey, and the results were as follows. First, in terms of current status of intervention, children with disabilities showed aggressive behaviors and words. Most parents preached at their children and gave reinforcements to cope with problem behaviors. However, the parents thought that the effect of intervention was average. Second, in regards of perception on intervention, the level of perception was above average. In particular, they recognized well on the sub-domain of consultation on problem behaviors , efforts and willings about intervention in order. Based on these results, it can be possible to apply practical methods to enhance the effectiveness of intervention for children with disabilities.
