2011 특수교육 기본 교육과정 초등과학 ‘내용 성취기준’ 적합성 조사 연구

A Research on the Appropriateness of Content Standards of Science for Primary School in 2011 Basic Curriculum of Special Education

본 연구에서는 2011 특수교육 기본 교육과정 초등과학 내용 성취기준의 적합성을 알아보고자, 기본 교육과정 운영 특수학교에서 초등과학 교과를 담당하는 특수교사를 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 특히 교사가 인식하는 담당학생의 학습수준을 상중하 3가지로 분류하여 수준별로 조사하였으며, 더불어 학년군별 및 과학 영역별 적합성을 조사하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 학년군 및 학생수준별 과학 내용 성취기준 적합성에 대한 교사의 인식에 따르면, 학년군이 높을수록, 나아가 학생 수준이 낮을수록 적합성이 떨어짐을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 과학의 4가지 영역(물질, 에너지, 생명, 지구)과 관련하여 내용 성취기준 적합성은 학생 수준이 낮아질수록, 나아가 학년군이 높아질수록 떨어졌고, 동일학년군, 동일수준 학생에게 있어서도 과학영역별 적합성에 대한 교사의 인식이 서로 상이했다. 이에 근거하여 기본교육과정 적용 학생들이 고학년이 된다고 해도 교과내용이 공통교육과정의 수준과 비례하여 어려워지면 곤란하고, 동일학년 내에서도 수준 차이가 크므로 내용성취기준 설정에서 이를 제대로 반영해야 한다는 해석이 가능했다. 나아가 이러한 현장 인식에 따라 기본 교육과정‘학년군별 성취기준’개념에 대한 학계의 교과교육학적 논의가 요청되며, 과학 영역별 성취기준 차등 분배, 중도중복장애 학생 학습 수준에 중점을 두는 성취기준 개발 필요성 등을 논의하였다.

This research was performed to learn about an appropriate learning standards and science education in the basic curriculum of special education in 2011. In order to conduct the survey, the professional teachers who are responsible for the science curriculum about intellectual and developmental disabilities from special elementary school participated in. The grades in this survey consisted of three categories (high, medium and low) depending on the difference of students scholastic aptitude. These categories emphasized focus in the appropriateness for the achievement standards of science subjects. The results of the study demonstrates that the standards of accomplishment for current science subjects were not suitable for the students of below middle level. The majority of this group consisted of the students who had received a basic curriculum of special schools. This made it difficult for students to study energy, bio, and earth science as students got older. In addition, the achievement standards of elementary science in basic curriculum of special school should be reduced. Furthermore, the research needed to be conducted, and required continuous expertise to develop unique lecturing characteristics and created a professional approach manual for the general education curriculum.
