The Study on the Social Support, Job Stress, and Burnout of Paraprofessionals

본 연구에서는 특수교육실무원의 사회적 지지, 직무 스트레스, 소진 수준을 분석하고, 사회적 지지가 직무 스트레스 및 소진에 미치는 영향, 직무스트레스가 소진에 미치는 영향에 대하여 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 U지역 특수교육실무원 286명에게 설문지를 배부하고, 설문에 응답한 191부를 분석대상으로 사용하고, 학력, 경력, 담당학생 장애정도에 따라 집단 간 차이를 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학력, 경력, 학교형태, 학교급에 따른 직무스트레스에서 유의미한 차이를 보였고, 경력에 따른 소진에서 유의미한 차이를 보였고, 담당학생 수에 따른 사회적지지에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 특수교육실무원의 사회적 지지가 직무 스트레스 및 소진에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 평가적지지가 실무원의 직무스트레스와 소진을 유의미하게 설명해 주는 변인으로 나타났다. 셋째, 직무스트레스가 소진에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 직무스트레스 중 인간관계와 스트레스증상이 소진을 유의미하게 설명해 주는 변인으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 특수교육실무원의 직무스트레스와 소진을 완화시키고, 사회적지지를 증가시키는 방안에 대한 기초연구로서의 의의를 갖는다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of social support, the job stress and burnout of paraprofessionals in general schools and special schools located in U city. For this purpose, questionnaires were distributed to 286 subjects of paraprofessionals and 191 paraprofessionals were included in this study. The subjects were classified with background variables such as education, career, type of schools, level of schools, level of disability of students in charge, and number of students in charge. The findings of this study were as follows. First, the significant differences were not found in social support, job stress, burnout according to level of disability of students in charge. However, the significant difference were found in social support, job stress, burnout according to education, career, type of schools, level of schools, and number of students in charge. Second, the significant variable which influenced on the job stress was appraisal support. significant variables which influenced on the burnout were material support and appraisal support. Finally, the significant variables which influenced on the burnout were human relation and symptoms of stress.
