장애 대학생의 고등교육 지원 현황 및 요구에 대한 교육 수요자 인식 연구

A study of perceptions of educational consumers’ on current status and demand in higher education for college students with disabilities

연구목적: 본 연구는 장애 대학생의 고등교육 경험과 인식을 파악하고자 하는데 있다. 연구방법: 경기소재의 대학에 소속된 장애 대학생과 장애학생 지원 전문가의 장애 대학생 대학교육에 대한 경험과 인식을 살펴보고자 연구 참여자의 상황에 따라 개별인터뷰와 포커스그룹인터뷰 방법을 활용한 질적 연구방법을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 연구 참여자들은 장애학생의 대학생활을 위한 학습설계의 다양화, 수업환경의 개선, 정서적 지지대의 필요, 장애이해를 기반 한 진로 지원, 다양성에 대한 이해와 존중 문화 확산, 장애학생 지원제도의 점검, 보완 및 확대 등을 제시하였다. 결론: 이와 같은 연구 결과를 바탕으로 향후 장애 학생 대상의 양질의 고등교육 실현을 위한 대학 교육 실행의 시사점과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the experience of college students with disabilities in higher education. Method: This study conducted a qualitative method based on the data collected by using individual interview and focus groups interview with college students with disabilities and experts who belong to service center in university. Results: The main results of the study were as follows: diversity of learning design, improving class environment, providing emotional support, exploring career based on understanding of disability, respecting cultural diversity in school, expanding and monitoring support system. Conclusion: Based on the results, implications and suggestions to realize quality higher education for college students with disabilities were provided.
