돌봄을 통한 신장장애인 가족의 장애경험 사례연구

A Case Study on the Family Experience of Disability through Caring

연구목적: 본 연구는 지금까지 주목하지 못했던 신장장애인가족의 문제를 이해·분석하여 이들이 직면하는 문제를 정책적·실천적으로 해결하기 위한 방안에 대해 고민해보는 것을 궁극적인 목적으로 하는 학문적 시도이다. 연구방법: 연구를 위하여 모두 10명의 신장장애인 가족이 참여하였으며, 심층면접을 자료모집의 방법으로 활용하였다. 연구결과: 연구는 사례연구방법에 기초하여, 질환발생 이후 장애인당사자의 투석과정을 따라 탐색되었으며, 장애인 가족이 당사자와 함께 하는 경험을 가족적, 사회적, 문화적 맥락에서 ‘왜’ ‘어떻게’를 중심으로 참여자들의 주관적 인식을 통해 분석되었다. 분석은 사례 내 분석과 사례 간 분석으로 이루어졌으며, 신장장애인 가족의 돌봄 경험을 사례 간 비교분석한 결과, ‘병의 시작’, ‘우울의 늪’, ‘지원 체계’, ‘삶의 지속’, ‘가족의 재구축’으로 5가지의 중심주제로 범주화되었다. 결론: 중심주제에 따라 신장질환을 인지하는 단계에서부터 투석과 이식 등의 과정을 통해 돌봄을 수행하는 가족의 경험이 어떻게 형성되는지 이해할 수 있었다.

Purpose: This study aimed to draw attention to the problems that society has not yet noticed the importance. Various Problems families of people having renal disease face in their caring-life are the ones. Method: For this study, 10 people participated in indepth interview. The data collected through the interviews were analysed through the methodology of qualitative case study, categorized into 5 main themes: ‘the beginning of disease’, ‘falling into a swamp of depression’, ‘continuing life’, ‘reconstruction of family’. The data before analysis were repeatedly considered alongside the understandings and the experiences that family members have with their patient family member. Results: For the analysis, the author especially gave notice to the fact that the family experiences of renal disease begins with medical symptoms but continues with relational, social and cultural meanings. Conclusion: In-case analysis and inter-case analysis were performed to find commons and differences among cases.
