재택순회교육 과정에서 특수교사가 경험하는 어려움과 개선 방안

Practice of and Recommendations for difficulty in Residential Itinerant Special Education Settings

연구목적: 본 연구는 재택순회 특수교사가 수업과정에서 경험하는 어려움과 개선방안에 대하여 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 최근 3년 동안 D시에 소속되어 재택순회교육을 담당한 경험이 1년 이상 있거나 현재 재택순회교육을 담당하는 특수교사 29명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 설문조사에 응답한 교사 5명을 목적 표집하여 반구조화 질문지를 활용하여 심층면담을 실시하였다. 설문지는 재택순회 특수교사들이 교육과정에서 접하는 요소를 환경차원, 학생차원, 학부모차원으로 범주화하여 구성하였고, 재택순회 특수교육의 개선 방안을 위해 심층면담을 실행하였다. 연구결과: 재택순회 특수교사가 인식하는 가장 큰 어려움은 ‘수업환경’이었고 학생지도와 학부모 관계에서도 어려움을 겪는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 재택순회 특수교육 장면에서의 교사가 겪는 문제를 해결하기 위한 정책이 마련되어야하며, 장기적으로는 재택순회 특수교육의 필요성과 운영 방법에 대한 근본적인 재검토가 필요하다.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to suggest the solutions to the difficulty of residential itinerant special education by examining the difficult practices by special education teachers. Method: A total of 29 special education teachers who had experiences longer than a year of itinerant special education were surveyed and five of the survey respondents were interviewed. Responses from the survey and the in-depth interviews were categorized into environmental factors, student factors, parental factors, and fundamental problems innate to the itinerant special education. Results: Results indicated that more than half of the respondents experienced the difficulty of residential itinerant special education. The instructional environment was the foremost challenge. Conclusion: Policies that guarantee the solution of the difficulty of residential itinerant special education need to be developed in the short term, and a more thorough examination of the necessities of itinerant special education practices is needed for a long-term goal.
