기본교육과정 사회과의 배움 중심 수업 구현을 위한 백워드 설계의 활용 가능성 탐색

The Possibility of Using Backward Design on Special Education Basic Curriculum for Learning-Centered Instruction in Social Studies

특수교육의 본질이라고 할 수 있는 개별화교육을 강조하고, 특수교육대상학생 개인의 의미 있는 학습 경험의 질 개선을 통한 배움 중심 수업을 구현하고자 본 연구는 백워드 설계를 적용한 사회과 수업 개발을 통해 특수교육현장 적용에의 사사점을 도출하고자 하였다.

Purpose: As a big data, this study was conducted to analyze both research on teacher perceptions about universal design for teaching and learning(UDL) and instructional adaptation(IA). Method: A total of 23 studies (6 for UDL, 17 for IA) were compared with the following analytic focuses: the general features of study (research purpose and topic, participant), overall perceptions on both concepts, and implementation status. Results and Conclusion: The major findings were as follow: First, the purpose and topic of the concepts were two folds; the degree of teacher perceptions on importance and the comparison of the degrees of perceptions and implementation by teachers. The numbers of studies and participants were higher on the IA than the UDL. Second, the degrees of teacher perceptions on importance about the IA were higher than the UDL. Last, on both concepts, the degrees of perceptions were higher than the degrees of implementations. Based on the findings of the study, suggestions for future research and implications were discussed.
