장애이해 봉사활동을 통한 예비유아교사의 교사효능감 및 공동체 의식 변화 탐색

Pre-service preschool Teachers’ Change of Teacher Efficacy and the Sense of Community through Volunteer Work in Disability Awareness

연구목적: 이 연구는 장애를 주제로 한 동화 봉사활동이 예비유아교사의 교사효능감과 공동체의식에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구방법: 예비유아교사 44명이 연구에 참여하였으며, 동화 봉사활동 전후로 교사효능감과 공동체의식에 대해 조사하였다. 봉사활동 기관은 특수반이 포함된 유치원 혹은 장애통합어린이집으로 한정하였다. 연구결과: 연구 결과, 장애이해 동화 봉사활동 후 예비유아교사의 교사효능감과 공동체의식은 유의미하게 상승하였다. 봉사활동 만족도가 높은 집단과 낮은 집단을 비교한 결과, 만족도가 높은 집단의 교사효능감과 공동체의식이 보다 높은 만족도가 낮은 집단에 비해 모두 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 장애를 주제로 한 동화 봉사활동이 예비유아교사의 교사효능감과 공동체의식 향상에 긍정적임을 시사하는 것이다. 결론: 이러한 연구 결과를 볼 때, 예비유아교사를 양성하는 대학교육과정에서 특수교육과 관련된 다양한 현장 경험, 봉사활동 경험이 필요함을 의미한다. 또한, 성공적인 장애유아 통합교육의 실천을 위한 예비유아교사 교육의 개선 방향을 시사해준다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of disability-awareness volunteer work on pre-service preschool teachers teacher efficacy and sense of community. Method: Forty-four pre-service preschool teachers who took the ‘Introduction to Special Education’ course participated in the study. This study examined teacher efficacy and the sense of community before and after volunteering for fairy tale education. The researcher limited volunteer organizations to only kindergartens with special classes or special daycare centers. Results: As a result, teacher efficacy and the sense of community of pre-service preschool teachers increased significantly after the volunteer work for children s education with disabilities. Students with higher satisfaction showed higher teacher efficacy and sense of community than those with lower satisfaction. These findings showed that volunteer work on disabilities as a subject was effective in improving teacher efficacy and sense of community among pre-service preschool teachers. Conclusion: The curriculum in teacher education for pre-service early childhood teachers requires a variety of on-site and volunteering experiences related to special education.
