The purpose of this paper is to verify Alboiu s(2007) phasal theory for feature checking including Case is better than some approaches based on feature sharing. Feature(Case) valuation essentially depends on feature sharing in P&T (2004b), Pesetsky (2007) and Bringum (2005). While only T-feature is shared in the former two, only Φ-feature is shared for Case valuation by phase in the latter. However, nominative Case on the subject of infinitive and gerund in Romanian cannot be explained by the former. In Alboiu (2007), Agree is not compulsory, but Φ-specification is important for Case valuation. Here feature specifications in phasal A-chain domain accounts for Case valuation. In non-expletive pro languages, [uΦ] on T agrees with [iΦ] on the goal DP, valuing Nom Case, but in expletive pro languages, [uΦ] on the pro probes [iΦ] on the thematic DP making A-chain, and values Nom Case. I tried to apply this approach to various English structures. However, relative clause was exceptional, remaining for further research.
