본 연구에서는 진로교육에 관한 지체부자유 특수학교 초등부의 운영 실태와 진로교육에 대한 교사의 인식을 알아보기 위하여 교사들이 근무하는 학교의 지역별, 교사들의 성별, 특수교육경력별, 학년별, 역할별 변인에 그 특성을 분석하였다. 연구대상은 전국에 분포되어 있는 지체부자유 특수학교 20개 학교의 초등부 담당교사 224명을 대상으로 하였고, 회수된 180부를 연구자료로 활용하였다. 연구결과 지체부자유학교 초등부에서는 진로교육을 실시하지 않는 경우가 대부분이었다. 교사들은 초등부 진로교육이 매우 중요하다고 인식하고 있으며, 진로교육에서는 현장견학이 많은 도움이 된다고 인식하였다. 진로교육 개선 방안 면에서 교사의 전문성 강화를 위한 연수 기회를 확대, 현장 견학의 확대 실시와 특수교육지원센터를 활용한 체계적인 진로교육 계획을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to present fundamental data for enlarging career education in the elementary special schools for children with physical disabilities by investigating teachers recognition Questionnaires were distributed to 180 elementary special school teachers for children with physical disabilities. The conclusions based on the results of the research and its discussion are as follows.: First, in the management of the career education in the elementary special school for children with physical disabilities, most of the teachers haven t performed career education training. The reason was the lack of curriculum. In the case of the teachers perform career education teachers instruct students basic living skills during class on the whole. Also parent education for students career was hardly enforced. Secondly, in view of the teachers recognition about the career education, elementary special teachers recognized students get reminded of future job through their teacher. And they recognize career education for children with physical disabilities should be enforced from elementary schools. Elementary career education is regarded as so important because it s helpful for children with physical disabilities to search future jobs. The desirable contents in educating parents are general ones about career. The difficult thing of career education is lack of the materials and information about career education. A field trip is so helpful in career education. Finally, in view of the improvement method for career education. Teacher should receive more training opportunities to reinforce their professionality. Strengthening method for career education in curriculum was to enforce field trips. In national and social dimension, what should be carried out for career education is to manage it systematically through special education supporting center.
