듀센형 근 위축증후 아동교육에 대한 연구동향

The Current Research Situation on the Education of Children with Physical and Multiple Disabilities: Focusing on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

본 연구는 진행성 근 위축 증후의 국내·외 선행연구를 토대로 하여 근 위축 증후의 유형 중 가장 빈도가 높은 듀센형 근 위축 증후의 특성과 연구동향을 분석·제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이는 근 위축 증후가 진행됨에 따라 학생의 지적 능력이 자신의 독립성을 유지하는 중요한 도구가 될 수 있다는 것이다. 궁극적으로 본 연구는 특수교육 및 교육정책과 관련된 전문가와 일선 특수학교 현장에서 근무하고 있는 교사 및 이들의 가족에게 진행성 근 위축 증후에 대한 유용한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 연구의 의의를 두고 있다.

This study explores the relationship between the characteristics of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy(DMD) which has the highest frequency among types of symptoms of muscular dystrophy and intelligence and analyzes and presents the current situations of the research, based on previous research in the nation and abroad about symptoms of progressing muscular dystrophy. The results show that as the symptoms of muscular dystrophy progresses, the intellectual ability of the student can be an important instrument for maintaining his/her independence. The significance of the study is that it presents useful fundamental materials about symptoms of progressing muscular dystrophy with experts related to special education and educational policy, special education teachers, and the student s family eventually.
