방과 후 학교 자원봉사활동 경험을 통한 특수교육전공 대학생의 장애아동과의 상호작용 및 교육적 지원 모색에 관한 연구

Education and interaction Effects of University Students Majored in Special Education through After-School Volunteering Experience

본 연구는 방과 후 학교 자원봉사활동을 통한 경험이 특수교육전공 대학생들의 장애아동들과의 상호작용 및 교육적 측면에 어떠한 변화를 가져왔는지 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 B지역의 한 초등학교 특수학급에서 실시한 방과 후 자원봉사활동에 참여한 P대학교 특수교육과에 재학 중인 1학년 여학생 4명을 연구 대상자로 선정하였다. 연구 대상자들이 작성한 수기와 개별 인터뷰 내용을 질적으로 분석한 결과, 특수교육전공 대학생들은 자원봉사활동을 통해 학습자의 특성과 발달 과정, 교수전략 적용 및 교수계획 수립, 학습 환경 조성과 사회적 상호작용, 자기평가, 협력에 대한 경험을 얻을 수 있었다. 즉, 특수교육전공 대학생들은 학교자원봉사활동을 통해 학교현장에서 장애아교육을 위해 특수교육교사가 갖추어야 할 필수적인 지식과 기술들을 경험한 것이다. 그러므로 특수교사 양성대학에서는 전공학생들이 입학과 더불어 체계적으로 계획된 자원봉사활동에 참여할 수 있도록 체계적인 자원봉사프로그램을 활용할 필요가 있다고 본다.

This study investigates the volunteering activity experience of four first-year students majored in special education. They participated in the after-school activity program for children with disabilities as volunteers. For this study, the contents of volunteer diaries and additional interviews were qualitatively analyzed to identify the change of the attitude and knowledge of educating children with disabilities through volunteering. The participants were able to obtain educational experiences in the areas of the development and characteristics of children with disabilities, adaptation of instructional strategies and instructional planning, social interactions, self-evaluation, and collaboration.
