수정된 QUEST를 이용한 뇌성마비 장애학생과 부모의 맞춤형 착석장치 사용 만족도 분석

Analysis on the Satisfaction of Custom Fitted Seating System of Students with Cerebral Palsy and Parents Using the Modified QUEST

맞춤형 착석장치는 중추신경계 병변과 근골격계 질환으로 인해 이차적인 자세 변형과 골관절 기형이 예상되는 경우 이를 예방하거나 이미 발생한 자세 변형의 진행을 지연시킬 목적으로 사용하는 도구로서, 미국과 영국 등 재활선진국에서는‘Special Seating 이라는 명칭으로 서비스되고 있다. 국내에서도 최근 맞춤형 착석장치 서비스가 활발히 이루어지고 있지만 이에 대한 소비자의 만족도 및 기능적 효율성은 논란이 되고 있다. 본 연구는 맞춤형 착석장치를 사용하는 뇌성마비 장애학생과 부모를 대상으로 만족도를 알아보았다. 27명의 맞춤형 착석장치를 사용하는 뇌성마비 장애학생과 부모를 대상으로 수정된 QUEST를 사용한 만족도 조사 결과, 전반적으로 장치영역보다 서비스영역의 만족도가 높았고 안전성과 내구성에 가장 만족하였으나 가격과 편리성에 가장 불만족한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 대상자는 안전성, 편안함, 수리 및 보수, 사후관리를 가장 중요한 항목으로 선택하였다.‘Special Seating 및 맞춤형 보조공학 서비스는 객관적인 효율성과 필요성을 입증할 수 있어야 하며, 서비스의 질을 제고할 수 있는 서비스 인증제 도입이 요구된다.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate user satisfaction of custom fitted manual wheelchair. The modified version of the Qubec User Evaluation of Satisfaction with assistive technology(modified QUEST) was used to assess satisfaction of 27 subjects who owned a custom fitted seating system integrated in a manual wheelchair. The following results were obtained: Overall, satisfaction with the service was scored higher than satisfaction with the device in user of custom fitted wheelchairs and seating systems. The items clients were least satisfied with were related to devices issues, such as Cost and Simplicity of Use, whereas the items that clients were most satisfied with Safety and Durability. There were statistically significant(α<.05) differences in the degree of importance and the degree of satisfaction scored on several items, such as Weight, Safety, Simplicity of Use, Comfort, Effectiveness, Cost, Repairs & Servicing and Follow-up Services. The items considered by the subjects to be the most important are Safety, Comfort, Repairs & Servicing and Follow-up Services. The suggestions of this study was as follow: 1) one very important part of the service process of assistive devices and Special Seating is to perform a outcome measurement in order to determine effectiveness and need. 2) it should be introduce the QTS(Quality Technology Services) for Special Seating service.
