장애학생들이 교육장면에서 학습하는 내용들 중에 교사가 의도하지 않은 경험들이 많이 내포되어 있다는 문제의식에서 출발하여, 특수학교에 존재하고 있는 잠재적 교육과정에는 어떤 것이 있는가를 규명하고 그 문제점을 논의하였다. 이를 위해 아직 교직경험이 없는 예비특수교육교사 11명을 통하여 교생실습을 하는 4주 동안 특수학교의 잠재적 교육과정에 해당하는 사례들을 수집하도록 한 후 그 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과는 특수학교에 존재하는 잠재적 교육과정을 크게 세가지로 범주화할 수 있었다. 첫째, 장애학생의 학교생활과 수업에 대해 획일적 형식주의와 결과주의에 입각하여 ‘무의식적인 행동’이 강요되고 있는 것과, 둘째, 개별성이 고려되지 않는 보편주의가 잠재적 교육과정으로 존재하는 것이었다. 셋째, 장애학생의 문제행동을 수정하는데 있어 교사들은 죽은자의 법칙을 사용함으로써 잘못된 행동을 더 강화하는 오류를 범하고 있었다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 잠재적 교육과정이 장애학생을 위한 학교 교육 성과 달성에 부정적인 측면으로 작용할 수 있다는 위험을 성을 지적하면서 이 교육과정이 미치는 교육효과에 대해 검토해 볼 필요가 있음을 강조하였다.
In this paper, it started with research question as there would be many unintended experiences that special education teachers don t want teach of problem. And in the context of hidden curriculum, it is conceptualized what is one in special education school and what is problems shown through in pre-special education teachers. For this, 11 pre-special education teachers has participated in special education school and collected examples of hidden curriculum. The hidden curriculum of special education school has conceptualized three categories. First, as special education hidden curriculum to be formalization and based on result to the instruction and unconscious behaviors often appeared in class. Second, universalism not considering unique individual needs is existed in that. Third, Many special education teacher use the dead person s rule to their students with disabilities for modifying their maladaptive behaviors. Through this patterns of behavior modification in curriculum, students with disabilities has more reinforced acquiring maladaptive behaviors unconsciously. Im the paper, it is proposed that hidden curriculum should be examine in the special education school for offering good education to students with disabilities. And it is suggested several things to improve special education condition.
