Recent development in the Case theory poses a few serious problems. This paper attempts to show the empirical problems of the theory with the typological variations across the languages as well as the theory internal problems in the nature of the Case feature. This paper does not provide the proper resolutions for the problems but implies the possibility of reducing the role of Case in the syntactic operations.
