This paper aims to investigate into the syntactic agreement phenomena in small clauses in Korean with some remarks on agreement in Modern English and French. Based on the discussions of the previous major approaches to the syntactic status of small clauses, we show that small clauses in Korean do function as TP constituents. Following the well-motivated TP analysis of small clauses, we argue that the null copula BE mediates between subjects and predicates in small clauses in inducing agreement between them. It is found that both ϕ-feature agreement and Case agreement in small clauses in Korean and French receive a natural account under the syntactic operation Agree in the Minimalist Inquiries framework.
