After the opening of a port, as we have experienced the foreign clash and tradition for a hundred year, our nation was murdered by foreign country. There was no occasion to reflect on oneself on the inside and we have followed to be modernized with no criticism. That is, next to open the door owing to the power of a foreign country, we have got along the hasty modern like a colony of Japanese imperialism, the liberation and partition of the Korean peninsula, an ideological dispute and rebuilding, industrialization and urbanization, etc. In such difficult history, we intend to reorganize the 20th popular living document . In 1923 a carpenter, Choi Sung Yun, was born of Inchon, and in 1939 he was employed in the Hujiyaga shipyard in Inchon, Mansukdong. He has kept on living as the carpenter to build and repair for 60 years until to retire from Western shipyard in 1998. Throughout this reporter, who could testify to a change of Inchon shipyard, we have come to see a slice of carpenter s lives and experiences. And also we have come to see a person how to get along since after going through many events of history in the face; like Great East Asia War, the liberty, the war on June․25, etc. When these investigations are accumulated, it is considered to be restored the 20th true popular living document.
