Independence spirit against Japan and self-strenuous efforts National movement of Seuk O, Lee Dong Nyung

Seuk O, Lee Dong Nyung, at the end of the Yi Dynasty, was born in Okchum, province Chungnam, was a leader of independence movement, and was one of the leaders who had gone through a bitter pain, and had been devoted himself to national salvation movement for the whole of his life by a nation deprived of sovereignty. Lee Dong Nyung, was one of the persons that had witnessed a country ruined in the ghastly spot by Japan between The Enlightment Party and The Coservatives, so he gave up his selfishness and took the head of a national salvation for his own country s sake. Besides this, he took the leading part in the movement establishing a temporary government for several decades, and wandered about in his country, Manchuria, Noryung, China for saving his country, and became a spiritual landlord of tough independence spirit and self-determination of peoples. He took part in the independence association, realized the theory of direction and way, got the good companions, organized it, and Ann Chang Ho, pastor Chun Duek Gi, since the foundation of Sin Min Association. That he took the active part in national salvation movement far away in foreign countries was based on national traditional religion. Namely by realizing our nation, tightening based ideology, he could have the power establishing self-independence. Defending the country, realized by the people, and bringing up good men were the best responsibilities for him, and established Han Sung School, Sue Chun School, Kyung Hak training, and Sin Hung Army School, and labored in the descendant education. As there is independence and self-support, they should have the power, for searching for self-independence as soon as possible for themselves, for they realized the only way was education. He was convinced of the neccesity of education and independence spirit against Japan through education and independence ideology for nations. Seuk O, Lee Dong Nyung was the older politician leading temporary government, and brought under cultivation for the restoration of independence from poverty and Stringency of fleeing life but he didn t see the restoration of independence, died in a foreign country far away. Seuk O, Lee Dong Nyung, was a true patriot with disobedience in ill-luck, stepping firmly on this. He was a revolutionist put disobedient will into practice by himself when only courage and action were demanded. The lesson invaluable given descendents for eternal years didn t mean that the verbal of nations, that is to say, was that, though his country was invaded by foreign countries, and a national right was lost. Though we did not get rid of the history of humiliation at one time, he gave us a lesson that we could establish the independence by all the nations taking part in independence movement constantly, for national spirits did not die out. Seuk O, Lee Dong Nyung, was run through only independence movement to the end of his life, and his stiff spirit and footmarks of struggle will leave behind us and the descendents succeeding to us for good in our and their mind and behavior.
