인공지능 기술의 빠른 성장과 함께 인공지능 기술과 현대적 무기를 결합한 자율무기 시스템도 신속한 발전을 가져왔다. 이러한 시스템의 공격목표를 자체로 선택하는 기능으로 인해 인명피해와 전쟁비용을 줄이게 되어 그 발전 및 이용은 상당수 국가들의 환영을 받고 있지만 자율무기 시스템의 자율적 특성으로 인해 인간의 안전과 존엄에 대해 새로운 도전을 가져왔으며 이는 국제사회의 우려와 관심을 야기시켰다. 국제법의 측면에서 볼 때, 국제사회의 자율무기 시스템에 대한 관심의 초점은 주로 두가지이다. 첫째는 자율무기 시스템의 합법성이고 둘째는 자율무기 시스템의 책임문제이다. 본문의 취지는 자율무기 시스템의 정의와 현황에서 출발하여 기존 국제법의 자율무기 시스템에 대한 규제와 결합하여 자율무기 시스템의 법률적 속성, 합법성 여부와 책임부담 문제에 대해 연구하고 자율무기 시스템에 대한 국제법 규제의 보완에 대해 건의를 도출하는데 있다. 伴随着人工智能技术的快速发展，结合了人工智能技术和现代武器的自主武器系统也得到了迅速的发展和应用。因自主武器系统自主选择、攻击目标的性能具有减少己方人员伤亡和战争成本的优势，它的发展和应用受到了相当一部分国家的追捧。然而，自主武器系统的自主性也给人类的安全和尊严带来了全新的挑战，引发了国际社会的担忧和关注。从国际法的角度来看，国际社会对自主武器系统的关注焦点主要是两个方面：一是自主武器系统的合法性；二是自主武器系统的责任承担问题。本文旨在从自主武器系统的定义和现状出发，结合现有国际法对自主武器系统的规制，探讨自主武器系统的法律属性、合法性和责任承担问题，提出完善自主武器系统国际法规制的建议。
