Dongbin Kim Sanggi’s academic orientation and the historical history position of 『History of Goryeo Dynasty』

김상기의 사관은 문헌고증적이면서 동시에 주체적인 입장을 보이고 있다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 그의 학문에 대하여 화려한 사관이나 이론을 논하는 대신 비문헌자료를 포함한 연구자료의 광범위한 섭렵 위에서 오로지 실증적인 연구논문을 통하여 현재적 삶의 관심에서 촉발된 문제의식을 표출하였고, 각 나라와 민족의 주체적 능동성을 본연의 모습대로 확인하려는 입장이라고 평가되기도 하였고, 또는 그는 사료비판적이고 합리적인 고증사학의 방법을 일본의 관학 아카데미즘에서 배웠지만, 그 방법으로서 연구한바 성과는 그들의 식민사학의 체계를 거부하는 것으로 평가된다. 『高麗時代史』는 개설서로서의 시대사인 고려왕조를 다루고 있다. 이 책의 구성은 총설･상편･하편의 3부 8장과 부표･지도･도판･부록으로 나누어 구성하였다. 총설에서는 고려왕조의 역사적 위치, 고려시대의 사회적･문화적 특색, 10세기 이래 동북아시아 諸民族과의 관계 등을 서술하였다. 그런 점에서 이 책이 주목되는 점은, 이 저서가 출판된 1961년 이후 60여년이 지난 지금까지 이 책을 능가할만한 개설서가 편찬되고 있지 않다는 것이다. 이러한 이유에서 『高麗時代史』가 주목되는 까닭이기도 하다. 이 책의 특색은 말하자면, 『高麗史』의 世家･志･列傳의 방대한 서술체계를 오늘날 우리가 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 原典과 그에 대한 해석을 충실하게 정리하고, 풀이해준 점이라 하겠다.

It can be said that Kim Sang-gi s cadet is both literature-based and self-reliant. Instead of discussing fancy historical views or theories about his studies, he expressed problem consciousness triggered by current interest in life solely through empirical research papers, or rejected historical methods. “The History of the Goryeo Dynasty” deals with the Goryeo Dynasty, the history of the period as an opening book. The composition of this book was divided into three chapters: General Seol, upper part, and lower part, and buoy, map, drawing board, and appendix. The collection describes the historical location of the Goryeo Dynasty, the social and cultural characteristics of the Goryeo Dynasty, and its relationship with various ethnic groups in Northeast Asia since the 10th century. What draws attention in this regard is that more than 60 years have passed since the book was published in 1961, when it was not published. This is why the History of the Goryeo Dynasty is drawing attention. The characteristic of this book is that it faithfully organizes and interprets nuclear power plants and their interpretations so that we can easily understand the vast narrative system of The History of Goryeo today.
