The boundaries of modern society are becoming blurred as exchanges between ethnic, cultural, and language become more frequent, and multiculturalism is very high within a country. Therefore, new research and *approaches to identity education and cultural language education are needed. Therefore, this study analyzed Turkish cultural textbooks used in overseas education support projects in Turkey, a multicultural society. We looked at what factors the Turkish government defines and how it perceives its cultural identity. To this end, the cultural elements and contents of Turkish and Turkish cultural textbooks for Turkish children living abroad were examined and hypothesized by the Turkish Ministry of Education. According to the study, the Turkish government s textbooks included elements related to Islam, Turkish, and patriotism. In addition, the cultural element was found to be highly related to the formation of Turkish identity. Based on the results of the study, this study suggested that Turkey, a multicultural society, should embrace Turkish children living abroad who have multiculturalism in terms of ethnicity, religion, culture, and language for social integration. He also suggested that Turkey should establish language and culture education based on multiculturalism to increase its soft power for the long-term development of Turkey.
