일본인 관광객의 온천관광지에 대한 중요도-성취도 분석평가

Evaluation of Spa Destination Using Importance-Performance Analysis of Japanese Tourists : Focused on the Beppu and Yufuin-onsen Hot Spring Area in Japan

The purpose of the study was to classify into groups(regions) by evaluating the two factors of importance and achievement of hot spring tourist attractions located in Oita Prefecture(Beppu, Yufuin), Japanese leading hot spring tourist destination, and displaying the results in a matrix. A total of 200 surveys were conducted for four days from November 20 to 23, 2020, including Japanese holidays, and 192 valid samples were used excluding 8 unscrupulous samples. As a result of the Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA), first, it was found that when Japanese tourists choose hot spring tourist destinations, the facilities of the hot spring tourist sites were the most important item. The hot spring children s play facilities, surrounding tourism resources, and the popularity of hot spring attractions were also important items. Second, in quadrant I, the area of Concentrate Here consisted of 8 items, and in quadrant II, the area of Keep up the Good Work consisted of 4 items, and in quadrant III, the area of Low Priority consisted of 5 items, and in quadrant IV, the area of Possible Overkill consisted of 3 items. Based on these results, the study can use as a useful tool for establishing strategic directions for each important optional attribute of hot spring resorts and for applying them to domestic hot spring tourist sites through analysis of the competitiveness of hot spring tourist sites in Beppu and Yufuin in Japan.
