데이트폭력 피해경험이 피해자의 결별의도에 미치는 영향

Dating violence victimization on dating violence victim’s parting intention: moderated effect of prejudice on dating violence and violence acceptability

본 연구는 데이트폭력 피해경험과 피해자의 결별의도 간의 관계에서 데이트폭력 편견과 폭력허용도의 조절효과를 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 온라인 설문을 통해 이성 교제 경험이 있는 만 20세 이상 39세 이하의 성인 남녀를 대상으로 자기 보고식 설문지를 수집하여 294명(남자 148명, 여자 146명)의 자료를 분석하였다. 각 변인을 측정하기 위해서 데이트폭력 편견 척도, 폭력허용도 척도, 데이트폭력 피해경험 척도, 결별의도 척도가 사용되었다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 첫째, 데이트폭력 피해경험, 결별의도, 데이트폭력 편견, 폭력허용도 간의 유의한 정적상관을 확인하였다. 둘째, 데이트폭력 피해경험이 결별의도에 미치는 영향에서 데이트폭력 편견의 유의한 조절효과를 확인하였다. 셋째, 데이트폭력 피해경험이 결별의도에 미치는 영향에서 폭력허용도의 유의한 조절효과를 확인하였다. 위와 같은 연구결과가 시사하는 바는 첫째, 데이트폭력 피해경험이 피해자의 결별의도에 미치는 영향을 확인하여 데이트폭력 피해자 연구 및 상담 장면에서 데이트폭력 피해자의 결별의도를 확인할 근거를 제안하였다. 둘째, 폭력에 대한 개인의 일반적 태도인 데이트폭력 편견과 폭력허용도가 데이트폭력 피해 심화의 위험요인이 될 수 있다는 점과 피해자 개입과 예방 있어 이를 고려할 필요성을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구결과에 대한 논의를 바탕으로 연구의 의의와 제한점 그리고 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논하였다.

The purpose of present study was to investigate the moderated effects of prejudice on dating violence and violence acceptability between experience of dating violence victimization and victim s intention of parting. In order to achieve this goal, the self-report questionnaires were conducted in online survey and analyze 294 (148 men and 146 women) respondents who had experience of dating relationship. Aspects of relationship between variables were examined by using Prejudice on Dating Violence Questionnaire(PDVQ), Justification of Violence Scale(JVS), Experience of Dating Violence Victimization Scale, Intention of Parting Questionnaire(IPQ). Followings are the brief summary of the result. First, experience of dating violence victimization, intention of parting, prejudice on dating violence and violence acceptability has indicated a significant positive correlation. Second, the moderated effects of prejudice on dating violence has been verified between experience of dating violence victimization and intention of parting. Third, the moderated effects of violence acceptability has been verified between experience of dating violence victimization and intention of parting. Findings of this study suggest is that first, the effects of dating violence victim intervention on intention of parting has confirmed and offered a rationale to consider the intention of parting on counseling scene. dating violence and violence acceptability, a person’s general attitude toward dating violence, could be risk factors for escalation of dating violence victimization and necessity need to consider this on dating violence victim intervention. Finally, implications and limitations of the study were discussed with suggestions for further studies based on results.
