5‧18 최후의 항쟁 스토리텔링 연구방안

우드사이드 투어리즘 마케팅 이론을 참고하여

The essay suggests a research method of storytelling based on the theme of resistance to the last during the 5‧18 period by referring to Arch Woodside s tourism marketing theory. For this purpose, the researcher examines the tendency of the Korean 5‧18 dark tourism storytelling and studies Woodside s tourism marketing theory. Through the analysis, the dark tourism research related to 5‧18 is not much enough to produce effective storytelling. Woodside s idea shows the trend and international dark tourism emphasizing entertainment, aesthetics, and experiences rather than gloomy past orientation through storytelling in connection with spatial composition inside and outside the facility. Lastly, the researcher maps out some specific storytelling strategies about the 5‧18 resistance to the last based on Woodside s idea. This article advocates this style of storytelling to overcome the problems of formality and generational change and is expected to fulfill the purpose of inheriting historical lessons and revitalizing the local economy, while academic journal papers have published the results of storytelling having a close influence on perceived value, tourism attitude, trust, and revisit intention.
