기지촌 위안부의 인권침해에 대한 페미니즘 국제관계론적 해석

Interpretation of the Infringement of Military Camp Town Comforters Human Rights by Feminist International Relations Theory

  • 47

The feminist international relations theory began to show itself in the early 1990s, when the world witnessed the end of cold war and the birth of neo-liberalism. The feminist theorists, such as Rebecca Grant, Kathleen Newland, Spike Peterson, and Adam Jones, criticized masculism hinged in the current international politics, and however cannot clarify what it is besides pointing at sexism. Meanwhile, in 2018, Seoul High Court decided that the Government should be responsible for the infringement of military camp town comforters doing as prostitutes to the US soldiers mainly in the 1960s and 1970s. This paper studies the sentencing and its legal reason and background from the angle of feminist international theory. The second chapter introduces the discourse of the theory and examines the chance to apply it to the real life, and the third observes the aspect of infringing in the women s human rights and also the undemocratic health policy. Through the analysis, I define the feminist international theory opposes the dichotomous concepts of gender and its academic range is all around differentiating both feminism and masculism.
