Questions about Dunkirk Evacuation and the Idea of Democracy and Peace

This paper aims to discuss a question about the historical facts around Dunkirk Evacuation in the Second World War related to the idea of democracy and peace. As a research method, I study the Korean preceding studies about this accident and observe the contents and effects of Dunkirk Evacuation, presenting some questions about the event. They are why Hitler did not continue attacking the Allied Forces with his main armed forces (Panzer tanks) and instead assigned the task to the German Air Force and infantry units. His strategic mistake leads to not trying any massive invasion during the Battle of Britain. This paper makes a deduction from his ambition and misjudgment and Churchill’s resistance. Through this analysis, the power of the national unity proves to protect the idea of democracy and peace with the national security.
