京畿南部黃口池川流域의 靑銅器~初期鐵器時代爭點

A Study on the Hwangguji Valley from the Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age

경기남부의 수원·화성·오산시를 공간적 범위로 하는 황구지천유역을 대상으로 하여 청동기시대와 초기철기시대의 고고학적 쟁점을검토하였다. 먼저, 청동기시대 조기와 전기의 시기구분에 대한 문제는 돌대문토기와 마제석검의 관계를 중요하게 다뤘으며 절대연대측정 결과는고고학적 맥락에 따라 신중하게 적용해야 한다는 것을 강조하였고, 신석기시대 즐문토기와 공렬토기의 공존 양상을 현 단계에서는 인정하기 어렵다고 보았다. 그리고 황구지천유역을 포함하는 남한지역공렬토기 및 역삼동·흔암리유형의 기원은 공렬토기의 형태와 적색마연토기, 주거구조 등에서 볼 때, 서북한 및 동북한 양 지역과 관련될 가능성을 언급하였으며, 역삼동·흔암리유형은 압록강·청천강유역 또는 원산만유역과 연결되는 것으로 추정하였다. 송국리유형의형성 및 확산과 관련된 논의에서 중요하게 다뤄지고 있는 반송리식주거지 등 경기남부지역의 송국리유형 자료에 대해서 자생설의 입장과 외래설의 입장으로 나뉘고 있는 현상을 언급했다. 한편 황구지천유역의 청동기시대 후기문화는 점토대토기집단과 관련된 고지성 취락과 의례용 환구가 특징적인데, 이 시기 환구의 계보는 아직 분명하지 않다. 또한 이 지역에서의 수장 권력의 행사는 환구 축조 및 그안에서 벌어지는 의례 행위와 관련되는 것으로 보았다. 마지막으로초기철기시대의 자료를 정리하였으며, 이 지역의 철기 유입 시점은기원전 3세기로 추정하였다.

The purpose of this paper is to present several issues related to the Hwangguji valley located in the Southern Gyeonggi Province that pertain to the Bronze Age and early Iron Age. First, the Jeongmun-ri remains in Hwaseong-si have been dated to the early Bronze Age. As a polished stone sword was excavated together with doldaemun pottery, applying an absolute age dating value based on archaeological context should be done so with discretion. In addition, it is unusual for Yeoksamdong-type pottery and Neolithic pottery to be found together. Second, Yeoksamdong-type potteries was mostly made and distributed around the Hwangguji Valley. This pottery should mainly be found around the northwest and northeast parts of Korea; considering the shape, the existence of red burnished pottery, and the housing structures of the area. Third, the ‘Bansong-ri type dwelling’ found in Southern Gyeonggi Province, has been studied from two different point of views. One popular opinion is that Bansong-ri type dwelling originally came to be used in the area along with the formation and spread of ‘Songguk-ri culture’. The other is that it was brought in from other regions. Fourth, another feature is that ditches surrounding the sites are intensively spread around the Hwangguji valley. These were built in association with the Chomtodae pottery culture of the late Bronze Age. Installation of the ditches and ceremonies having happened inside the residential area are likely to be relevant to the power of a chief. Finally, there is some material and data on the region related to the early Iron Age. The Iron Age entered in the area sometime around third century BC.
