Retrospects and Prospects of the Study of European Integration in Korea

This article analyses current issues and prospects of study of European integration in Korea, focusing on the works of members of European Integration Study Group. In the past years the members have achieved excellent research results in the following issues; relationship between supranational European integration and nationalism, European integration as a project for permanent peace in Europe, external relationships of European integration, cultural historical approach on European integration, interest groups and European integration, issues on small member countries of European integration. I fully expect European Integration Study Group to develop as a structural framework where European experts in Korea would work together and lead European studies in Korea as European Community Liaison Committee of Historians in Europe has done.
